Fun Under the Christmas Tree
Able Winters shook his internal head. He and his partner of two years, Joshua Benton, had been going through a rough patch. Able hoped the Christmas season of good cheer and merriment could put them back on track. He lit the fireplace and opened a bottle of red to breathe.
Josh just did not get him. Josh was all about saving money, making investments, buying property, renovating said property, and selling said property. He was like a rolling stone, never still, never content. He was all about work and rarely had time for fun or a childish moment. Able, a dental hygienist, left his work at the office and liked to joke and fool around. He loved making surprise gifts for his friends and taking in stray animals. They were just so opposite he didn’t know if this relationship was meant to last for the long haul. He knew he loved Josh, but he seriously had his doubts. The ripped, dark-haired man who wore black rimmed glasses with worn, butt-hugging jeans, chambray work shirts, and work boots was just exactly opposite of his own preppy, slight-framed, blond curly-headed self.
It was a week before Christmas, and Able had dragged a huge Christmas tree into the great room of their two story townhouse in the Victoria Park section of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was hard to feel Christmassy when the outside temperature was 87 degrees and the air conditioning kept cutting on. Josh had been too busy finishing up the renovations on a house he’d bought and wanted to get on the market after the New Year to go with Able to pick out a tree. Finally, he had been tired of waiting for Josh and had gone out to buy the tree himself. Able had been disappointed since he wanted to get the holiday season started together. He was hoping he could easy Josh’s holiday phobia. Josh didn’t think he understood, but he did. Josh was hurting inside and needed something to shock him out of his funk.
He had a little surprise for Josh—just some hand-made ornaments for the tree that were bound to get his stuffy other half revved up. Able had made a clandestine trip to the Hustler store on Sunrise Boulevard for some fun tree ornaments and other supplies. While he was there, inspiration had struck his funny bone big time. His thoughts were hopelessly inappropriate.
The t-shirts he’d picked up for them were a hoot. eHeHe hoped Josh noticed the red shirt he wore with several naked elves cavorting on the front—and back. It would certainly be hard not to. The shirt he’d picked out for Josh had a naked Grinch. That was appropriate. If ever there was a Grinch, it was Josh.
Able was struggling to get the tree straight in the stand when Josh walked into the house. “Hey, I told you I’d go with you to pick out a tree. Couldn’t you wait for me?” He came up behind Able and pulled him into a tight hug and helped him right the tree. He ground his erection into Able’s back before he spun him around and kissed him hard. Well, there are some benefits to putting up with Josh’s moody personality.
“I got tired of waiting. Besides, I had some fun ideas for decorating and wanted to get started.”
“What fun ideas?”
“You’ll see. Why don’t you throw the steaks on the Barbie and pour us some wine while I finish tightening the bolts on the stand so this monster doesn’t come crashing down. After we eat dinner, we can put on the lights and then have some fun decorating.” Able was trying not to giggle and give away the game. That afternoon after bringing the tree and new decorations home, he’d gone out into the garage and made a few improvements to the items he’d picked up at Hustler. He hoped Josh thought the ornaments he’d made were as funny as he did. “Oh, by the way, Lefty and Kevin are coming over tomorrow night for drinks and to admire the tree so we’d better get moving.”
Josh sat back in his chair with a sigh. What a freaking long week. His current rehab project was almost done, and it had been a bear—one problem after another. TGIF. The steaks and baked potatoes with cheesy broccoli were perfect. Several glasses of wine didn’t hurt either. Hopefully a couple more of those would help him get through this night of forced gaiety and tree decorating. He knew that Able didn’t really understand his aversion to the holidays. Any holidays. Growing up, his strict, very religious family did not celebrate anything. Life was very drab in the Benton household. He had lacked for nothing material—only fun, affection and understanding. Josh didn’t like to remember it himself never mind talk about it. If he’d thought life was difficult at home before he came out of the closet, it had been impossible afterwards. He had left home at eighteen and moved to Florida. His parents were just not the kind who would say, “That’s okay, son. Just be who you are and be happy” like Able’s folks. He really enjoyed Able’s crazy, upbeat parents who always had a hug and good word for him. He’d had precious little of that from his own family. “So, babe. Want to get this job rolling?” He knew he sounded less than enthusiastic.
“Sure. Why don’t you start stringing the lights while I organize the ornaments?”
“You got it.” Josh got up and went out to the garage to drag in the ladder. The tree Able had picked out all but scraped the ceiling. How had he gotten it home and through the door? Able was that determined little ant that could. He had to smile. God, they were so different, but he really did adore his partner. He also knew he had to make this a good holiday for Able despite his own grouchy attitude. He was not oblivious to the strain they had been living under recently. He just hadn’t known how to fix it, in reality, fix himself. The job of putting up the sparkling white lights went faster than expected. Able was an organized little soul and had neatly stored the lights from last year. That made it so much easier this year. “Hey, Able. What do you think? Are there any naked spots?”
“Nope. It looks perfect. Time to start the decorations. Here’s the star for the top.” Josh reached down and took the star which he promptly placed on top of the tree. “A little more to the right. It’s a bit crooked.” Josh made the adjustment. “That’s perfect. Now come down and help me unbox the ornaments.”
Josh descended the ladder and took a drink from his glass of wine. When he turned around, Able was holding out a green t-shirt. “Here. Put this on. It will help you get in the mood.” Josh opened the shirt and had to laugh at the hideously ugly green, naked Grinch sporting an enormous hard-on.
“Is this supposed to be me?”
“If the t-shirt fits….”
“Okay. Okay. I’m trying here.” He took off his work shirt and pulled the roomy t-shirt over his head. “Perfect. Perfectly awful, squirt.” He grinned at his irrepressible partner.
“I know. I couldn’t resist it. Glad you like it.” Able was grinning from ear to ear as he lined up a collection of gaily bedecked multi-colored, rubber butt plugs sporting holly berries, golden bells, ribbons and other Christmassy decorations.
“You have to be kidding? You are going to decorate our Christmas tree with butt-plugs?”
“Yup. Those who know what they are will think it’s hilarious, and those who don’t won’t know the difference.” Now Able was laughing out loud. “If you are a good little Grinch, you might get to try one or two out.”
“Right. I can see you now with a holly decorated butt-plug sticking out of your…” He grinned. “That could be uncomfortable, babe.”
“Really. I did save a few sans decorations for later. Now let’s get these on the tree, then we can add the naked Santas and other ornaments I picked up at Hustler.”
“You are incorrigible, squirt. Really. Naked Santas and butt plugs. I can’t wait to see what this looks like finished.” Able was a nut, but he really did have a way of lightening Josh’s spirits. This was not the time for thoughts of his childhood or his parents who had both passed away some years ago without their ever having reconciled. That might be part of the reason he couldn’t let go of his resentments and bad memories and live in the moment. He had to let it all go if he wanted Able to enjoy the Christmas season. Squirt deserved to be happy, and he really did want to give that to him.
“I think you will be surprised. And, there might be a little something naked under there for you when we’re done.”
“Promises, promises. Would it be a naked elf by chance?”
“Indeed.” Able placed a few of the colorful butt plugs around the tree, leaving room for the naked Santas and elves to be added later. Josh stepped in and began placing the Santas and elves strategically and soon they were ready for silver garland. When the decorations were all on the tree, Josh bent down to flip on the lights. Able gasped. “It’s perfect!”
“And so are you, baby.” Josh crushed Able in his arms and whispered in his ear, “Where is that naked present you said was under the tree for me?”
“Right here.” Able reached down and pulled the naked elves t-shirt over his head before he kicked out of his sneakers and jeans. “Hurry up, Grinch. You’re slowing this Christmas train down.”
Josh hurried to tear off his own clothes. When he was naked, too, he pulled Able down on the sofa next to the Christmas tree. “We have to be careful not to knock this whole thing down.” He smiled into Able’s eyes. “After all your hard work that would be a tragedy.”
“Yes, it would. Now let me get busy.”
“Slow down, Able. I want to enjoy this merry moment.” Josh kissed Able hard before he knelt down on the floor between Josh’s thighs. He looked down into Able’s laughing blue eyes and knew that he would do anything to make this beautiful man happy. Able waited a moment before he took Josh’s cock between his lips and licked a drop of pre-cum from the mushroom tip. Then he sucked it in. Josh groaned. Able smiled around the prize in his mouth. Able licked and sucked up and down Josh’s hard shaft as he relaxed back against the sofa in front of the fireplace.
Josh could see that Able was enjoying just playing with his rock-hard cock. He could feel himself getting close, and he began to fuck Able’s beautiful mouth. He felt the head of his cock hitting the back of Able’s throat. Able swallowed him down as he pumped in and out, and Able used his tongue to swirl around the slick tip on the way in and out. Josh could feel the tension building in his balls as Able manipulated them with his hand. He knew he was almost there. Josh finally let fly and deposited a mighty spurt of cum down Able’s throat. Able swallowed, and Josh groaned as the tension drained from his body. “I love you, baby.”
“Merry Christmas, Josh. Can we let this be a new beginning for us? Can you try to forget your unhappy childhood and live in the moment once in a while?”
“I was just thinking that was what I need to do. I want you to be happy, baby. This is definitely a good time for a new beginning. Merry Christmas, Able. “
Bio for Skye Michaels
I was born in New Jersey and grew up an only child on a small farm in the “Garden State.” My father grew acres and acres of flowers for commercial florists and various produce, such as tomatoes. My high school years were spent at Wayne Hills High School, where I was not one of the popular, preppy kids, or one of the hoods—which kind of left me in limbo as I wasn’t one of the brainiacs either. Weekends were spent going into “the City” and Greenwich Village with my friends and doing a lot of things I probably shouldn’t have—don’t tell my grandkids!
After attending Katharine Gibbs School in Montclair, New Jersey, I began a career as a legal secretary and then a paralegal. I moved to Florida and currently live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with my dog, Snickerdoodles, aka The Dude. I was married for eight years but have been single for many years. My major addiction is jewelry, but any kind of shopping will do for a fix!
After my longtime job as a paralegal was ended by the economic downturn, I decided to turn lemons into lemonade and finally write the stories I’d had in my head for many years. I had always wanted to write romance novels, but my family and job kept me too busy.
My major interest aside from my family and friends is horses. I enjoy putting an animal character into my stories if possible. I am extremely “low-tech” and probably should have been born in the 1800s, as I enjoy driving a horse and buggy for fun. I also enjoy horseback riding, but the ground has gotten harder and farther away over the years.
I have a small farm and vacation home in Ocala, Florida, which is my favorite place in the world. There’s nothing as wonderful as swinging in the hammock in the shade and listening to the music of the wind in the pines while cuddled under a quilt reading a good book.
Books have always been my escape into love and adventure, and through reading, I have been able to be many people, do many things, and go to many wonderful places I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to be, do, or see.
I hope that all hardworking women who have a moment to put up their tired feet and relax with a cup of coffee—or a glass of wine—will feel like they have had the opportunity to enjoy a trip to beautiful South Florida, my own backyard. I hope they also enjoy getting to meet my fantasy friends and experiencing something new and different with a touch of hot romance thrown in for good measure! New adventures with old and new friends will continue with all of my series, both Male/female and Male/male.
