Langley Day-Macmillan

The blond-haired omega stared down at his ring finger where a new gold band glimmered underneath lantern light. Each second passing was like another gentle tug at the corners of his lips as he stood there, mesmerized by the sight. Each step in his gait was extra bouncy, each word he said seemed extra cheerful, and everything in his vision seemed even more colorful than usual.

Langley felt strong arms wrap around him and a hairy, scruffy cheek press against his own. The smile on his face felt ever more electric, his heart racing as he looked down and saw his mate’s fingers entwining with his own. His heartbeat thundered. A mirror image of his own golden band shone against the soft, almost ethereal light that surrounded them. In the new dockside pavilion in Hidden Lake, a recent renovation by its alpha, everything felt just a smidge more romantic.

“Hey,” Langley said dumbly, the grin on his face probably just as dumb from sheer joy. “You know, as the alpha, you should be setting a good example for all of your pack members by not acting too lovey-dovey.”

“At my own wedding, Langley Day-Macmillan?”

Langley turned to look up at his mate. The grizzled, but handsome visage of the man wrapped around him still made his chest ache, his breath hitch, and his cock to rise. It was like Aiden made every day worth living—every morning worth getting up for.

“Of course, Aiden Day-Macmillan, alpha of Hidden Lake,” Langley said, scrunching up his face and deepening his voice in an attempt to be serious. “You should only be striving for perfection! What sort of image are you projecting to our fine, impressionable young folk here in Hidden Lake?”

“Well, Langley Day-Macmillan, omega of Hidden Lake,” Aiden replied in almost the same voice. “My mate is a fine, impressionable young person. What does he think of me?”

Langley grinned. Aiden raised a single eyebrow.

“Your mate thinks that everything that’s happened in the past two years have been amazing,” Langley began. “It’s been quite the journey, and you’ve been amazing all throughout it.”

“Oh? You’re talking like it’s the end of our run. We’re only just beginning,” Aiden replied. “We’ve got a lot of stuff to do, including go to our honeymoon.”

It was Langley’s turn to raise his eyebrow in question. “We’re actually going to leave Hidden Lake for a few days and have a vacation?”

Aiden nodded.

“Can you even do that? Can you pull yourself from your work, even if only for a couple of days?”

Aiden blinked. He turned to look down at Langley. The silence between them spoke volumes, and it made Langley grin.

“I knew it.” Langley chuckled. “You can’t take one step out of Hidden Lake without feeling guilty. I understand. I’ve been here all my life, too. Besides, you’re the alpha. You need to be here just in case your pack needs you.”

Aiden pouted. “True, but Finn can handle things while I’m gone. He needs the exercise in leadership, anyway.” Gently entwining his fingers with his mate’s, Aiden leaned in to gently press his bearded face against the crook of his omega’s neck. “We need a vacation. How about a big city?”

Langley shook his head. “Too loud, I think. Let’s go have a real vacation!”

“But what does a real vacation sound like to you?” Aiden asked. “Let’s get down to specifics.”

He paused to think, puffing his cheeks up and exhaling slowly until a thought clicked in his mind. “How about the Maldives?”

The large, gruff alpha of nearly fifty years of age blinked. “The Maldives?” He repeated, eyes widened slightly and the corners of his lips curling in amusement. “Why there?”

The omega wolf shrugged. “I thought it might be fun. I saw it on a travel and living channel one day. It’s warm, and we don’t have to wear anything but swimming shorts for a little while. I also hear it’s really romantic.”

Aiden suddenly chuckled. Langley huffed in annoyance.

“Well, you come up with a place, then!” the omega said, faking being upset, crossing his arms and puffing up his cheeks once more. Aiden immediately brought a finger up to poke at Langley’s face.

“Well, let’s take this seriously, then. Your suggestion might be a little expensive, but let’s see what we can come up with,” Aiden replied. “If you want a beach vacation, there are probably cheaper alternatives. Mexico has some wonderful beaches, for example.”

Langley considered it seriously, and looked up into his husband’s eyes. “You really want to go on that honeymoon, huh? You’re not joking?”

“Consider it a new beginning for the both of us,” Aiden answered, his lips quirking into another smile as he wrapped his arms a little more tightly around his mate. “Now, focus. How does Mexico sound to you? That way, if there’s an emergency, it’s not too much of a problem for us to get back, and it’d still be a romantic getaway like you wanted. What do you think?”

Langley couldn’t help his smile going from ear-to-ear. He turned towards the Lake, listening to the soft splashing in the water. The hustle of the Main Street seemed far away, even though it was only a few steps down the docks. There were soft peals of laughter from a couple of children briskly walking past. He eyed the many couples walking down the street, some hand-in-hand, others wrapped up in jackets and scarves as a light drizzle of snow bathed the city in a sheet of soft, cascading white.

Hidden Lake was beginning to look more like a small city rather than a secret little inlet for shifters, and most of that was because of Aiden’s renewed commitment to making Hidden Lake better. People said it was because Langley brought Aiden’s good side out of him. Langley thought that Aiden had it inside him all along.

Still, their home had retained that natural beauty that made people want to stay. Hidden Lake was still a valley lightly drizzled in the whitest of snow sitting beside a lake of deep blue. It was perfect. If Langley hadn’t already been living here, he’d have wanted to take his vacation in Hidden Lake.

All in all, the sanctuary was thriving. Business was booming. Hidden Lake was even more like a gem in the rough, or so Langley thought.

“I think that sounds perfect,” Langley finally answered back after a few moments of quiet. “We need something fun. Like you said, Finn can handle things for a while. There hasn’t been a problem in Hidden Lake for months. Liam’s already getting bored with the lack of action!

“Besides, ever since we got mated, we haven’t had some time to take a proper break,” Langley added. “You’ve been doing so much to make Hidden Lake better. Heck, you even managed to broker a treaty with the Arrow’s Lodge people! Look at this city you built. It’s not going to break down if you take a week off, you know. Maybe two at the most!”

Langley waggled his eyebrows. Aiden looked down at his mate and rolled his eyes, before pressing a kiss against his neck. “I was already agreeing with you, darling. You didn’t need to pile on the guilt there,” Aiden said. “Are we heading to Mexico, then?”

The smaller omega thought about it. He looked down at the waters below.

“Maybe just for a little bit,” Langley replied, but the excitement in his voice was palpable. Literally bouncing where he stood, the happy, blond-haired omega turned to his husband with that wide smile and pressed a kiss to Aiden’s lips. “Let’s do it. Let’s go on that honeymoon!”

“And who knows, maybe it’ll be our little yearly tradition,” Aiden began. “I love you, Langley. Without you, all of the things I’ve been doing wouldn’t have been possible.”

“I find that hard to believe, considering I’m still just the messenger boy,” Langley replied, but he smiled. “But I love you too, Aiden.”

Langley leaned in to lightly kiss Aiden on the lips.

“Now, what say you we get planning?” Aiden asked as he kissed Langley back. “Two weeks. Just us. Nothing but the sun, sand and sea in front of us. It’s our honeymoon, after all. We have to celebrate our new life right.”

The small omega chuckled. “Who are you and what have you done with my mate?”

“I’m just celebrating this new beginning with my husband. Is that so much to ask for?” Aiden replied, sounding defensive if it weren’t for the telltale flicker in his eyes that told Langley he was joking.

“Not at all,” Langley replied. He leaned in closer against his mate—his husband—the one man he could trust with his heart. “To new beginnings, then.”

Aiden chuckled and nodded.

“To new beginnings.”

[Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, shape-shifters, werewolves, HEA]
For Langley Day, mating the alpha Aiden Macmillan is just the tip of the iceberg: there are more forces at play than meets the eye. At first, there’s Aiden’s reluctance into the mating, but there are also problems from the past as well as the future that they both have to meet head on.
Aiden’s past is filled with secrets that could shatter Hidden Lake pack itself, not to mention his concern for werewolf lore, where mates of an Alpha turn into an Omega. Aiden doesn’t want anything to happen to Langley, let alone something that could endanger his life, especially because of Langley’s youth and inexperience. Upbeat, effervescent Langley, however, couldn’t care less.
From psychotic people who think they have a say in Aiden and Langley’s life to a war right on the streets of Hidden Lake itself, Aiden and Langley will have to trust each other and fight for the day their lives finally become Right as Rain.
A Siren Erotic Romance
“If I touch you, Langley, I don’t think I’ll be able to stop.” Aiden said. His voice became huskier, rougher and more guttural as his hands slowly rubbed up and down Langley’s shoulders, down his forearms and finally to his hands, clasping them together. “And I don’t know if I’m ready to be addicted.”
“It’s kind of too late to say that now, isn’t it?” Langley whispered as he drew ever closer to Aiden’s body, pressing their chests together and making the office chair lean back. Langley could feel Aiden strain to keep his feet planted on the ground. The tensing of the man’s muscles, all the way from his shins to his thighs, was apparent even to Langley, who was just sitting on top of him. “Because all I know is that I’ve been thinking of you for the past few weeks, trying to figure out why you pushed me away. I think it’s safe to say I’m addicted to you already. By the way, I forgive you for leaving me in the lurch like that.” Langley grinned.
Aiden smiled softly. “Thank you, Langley.” He said, just his touch becoming firm as he placed his hands on either side of Langley’s waist. “But you’re right. I can’t stop now.” Those hands traveled down to Langley’s shorts, unbuttoning them and then quickly removing them from the younger wolf’s body, throwing them to the side. “Now I want to feel every little part of you.”
Langley’s cheeks turned just slightly pink. He had gone commando, and as Aiden saw Langley’s half-erect shaft bob slightly, the alpha’s grin widened and a twinkle appeared in his eyes. But even as he felt a slight sense of embarrassment permeate inside of him, he could also feel a sense of need that strengthened all the more as he looked at that mischievous twinkle in Aiden’s eyes.
Langley’s pecker twitched underneath Aiden’s gaze, and Langley couldn’t help but slowly take one of Aiden’s hands, guiding Aiden’s calloused fingers up his smooth, supple thighs, towards the softness of his pelvis, and then curling around the hairless base of his shaft.
And there, inside Aiden’s heat and his palm, did Langley’s cock grow to full length.
“Well, this isn’t really a little part at all, isn’t it?” Aiden said, breathing heavily against Langley’s ear. Aiden’s hands simply curled around Langley’s shaft, slow and gentle at first but then the grip tightened until Langley could feel the ache permeate from around the base of his shaft all the way through his body.
Langley gasped. His fingers curled, gently pressing into Aiden’s biceps. Rocking his hips forward and back, trying to buck his hips into Aiden’s touch, Langley’s eyes closed. This was bad. He’d originally set out to try and seduce Aiden, and it seemed that the man was seducing him. Langley knew he needed to take matters back into his own hands.
First, he needed to lower Aiden’s inhibitions. Langley grinned. It almost seemed like he was planning something rather nefarious, when really, all he wanted to do was make Aiden feel a little bit of payback for making Langley feel as though he was going to be thrown aside.
Gently nudging himself away, Langley pulled himself off of Aiden’s lap, settling down to his knees in front of his mate. Methodically, Langley had begun to unbuckle the man’s belt, as well as unzip and unbutton his pants simply to reveal what was underneath. Aiden didn’t seem to be doing anything in response. His hands grabbed ever tighter at his armrests, but otherwise, he was breathing deeply and staring into Langley’s eyes.
When Langley looked up, he could almost see the way those amber pools twinkled in lust.
Aiden’s cock was huge, more than anything Langley had ever seen. True, there was porn, and he’d experimented a few times with a couple of friends in high school, but none of it was ever as seriously large as… this gargantuan pillar right in front of him.
Nothing could have prepared him for seeing his mate’s cock up close and personal. It throbbed in arousal, a veritable pillar of virility with veins that looked like they moved with every beat of Aiden’s heart. For some reason, the shaft looked thicker in the middle than it did at the top, and it just daunted Langley even more. Already, the shaft was an angry shade of reddish purple.
It seemed that no matter how calm and collected Aiden looked on the outside, he was certainly affected by his arousal deep inside.
“Wow,” Langley breathed softly. “I guess I’ve never really seen anything this big up close and personal.”
“Well, then, you better get used to it,” Aiden said, his voice almost a guttural growl. “Because it’s all yours.”
Langley smirked. “It’s even bigger than some of the ones I’ve seen.”
Aiden glared at Langley. “Are you trying to make me jealous? Because it’s working.”
“Of course not,” the younger wolf said, almost in a purr. Langley’s lips parted, and darting out his tongue, he placed the tip of Aiden’s cock against his soft tendril, gently bouncing the shaft up and down with slow curls of his tongue. “I only want to please and claim my mate.”
“Take me, then,” Aiden whispered. “Because I’m done fighting it. Before the night is over, I’m going to claim you, too.”
Aiden was his, and there was no doubt in either of their minds.
Langley wrapped his lips around the tip of Aiden’s cock. Slowly, he hollowed out his cheeks until a slurp resounded in the air and the taste of pre-cum and sweat-slicked flesh filled his mouth.
He opened his lips wide, closing his eyes and concentrating on the feeling of that thick, hard cock inside of his mouth. It was almost intimate, the way Langley felt each throb of that shaft like he heard the sound of a drumming heartbeat. Looking up, he saw Aiden lean back against his chair, his own lips parted in a soft exhale of pleasure.
Langley’s fingers found their way behind his back as he lightly dragged his tongue forward and back, sliding the slick muscle slowly, gently, up and down the alpha’s cock. He pressed forward, each fractional increment of that cock entering his lips with a soft, audible slurp.
It wasn’t long until he felt his lover’s fingers slowly comb through his hair, shakily grabbing a hold of his head and steadying Langley’s head as best as the alpha could while Aiden slid his hips forward.
